Matthew Hoyt Kamp Matt is a Forest Information Specialist with Vision Forestry LLC and The Sampson Group, Inc. At Vision Forestry, he is responsible for maintaining a complete Geographic Information System (GIS) for two large clients covering around 36,000 acres of sustainably-managed forest. The system supports all planning, management, and evaluation activities on these forests. He is also involved in all aspects of field forestry activities. At The Sampson Group, Inc., Matt provides GIS and data analysis expertise for a wide range of research projects. In 2001, his GIS analysis provided the basis for the study of Wildland-Urban Interface lands that was produced to assist in the implementation of the National Fire Plan. Matt earned a Masters in Forestry from Virginia Tech (2002) and a BS in Resource Recreation and Tourism with a minor in Wilderness and Nature Conservation from the College of Forestry at the University of Idaho.
Angela joined Vision Forestry in January of 2005. She graduated from Auburn University in 1996 with a B.S. in Forest Resources. Shortly after, she moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to work for Chesapeake Forest Products. In 2000 an opportunity to return home took Angela to South Alabama for a position with Molpus Timberlands. While working for Molpus, Angela served as technical and GIS support for local offices as well as managing a pine seed orchard. In 2002 Angela completed her GIS certificate training at the University of West Florida.
